Earlier this year, we shared our ambition to deliver 62 much-needed homes for social rent in Druids Heath, before wider regeneration begins. The homes will be located on three small sites and give priority for those who have been temporarily relocated from the area.
The first 12 homes are already taking shape on Brockworth Road, with a range of high-quality apartments expected to be ready by 2027. Foundations for the lower ground floors were recently completed, and scaffold is in place to kickstart work to the upper floors too. This will take place alongside work to the car park area in the coming weeks.
Subject to planning approval in September 2026, the remaining homes will be delivered on two other sites nearby:
- Bells Lane (former British Legion site): 26 homes for social rent, comprising maisonettes, 2-bedroom flats and houses. Planning Ref: 2026/00028/PA
- Sherstone Covert: 24 homes for social rent, including 1-to-3-bedroom apartments, maisonettes and 3-bedroom houses: Planning Ref: 2026/00027/PA

Alongside housing, Lovell is also investing in the wider community. To date, more than £147,000 has been spent through the local supply chain and almost £4,000 has been donated to charities and community organisations.
Staff from Lovell have also delivered almost 80 hours of volunteering with FareShare Midlands, as well as supporting people looking for work and taking part in careers activity with local schools.
